2026 Church Compensation Report

The 2026 Church Compensation Report is the twentieth annual survey of church pastoral and staff compensation published by Church Compensation Services. This year’s report is our largest report to date, including data for 173 positions from 186 churches representing nearly 19,717 church employees, over 1.3 million in weekly church attendance and over $2.5 billion in church budgets. Data is grouped by weekly church attendance, operating budget, denomination, and region. Participants include large churches (1,000-2,000 attendance), megachurches (2,000+ attendance), and gigachurches (10,000+ attendance) with budgets of $2M or greater.

2026 Multi-site Church Compensation Report

The 2026 Multi-site Church Compensation Report, is the second annual report designed for churches with more than one campus. The Multi-site report includes salary data for all church campuses and groups salary data by campus size, reflecting differences between main campuses and other campuses of varying attendance and budget sizes. This one report includes data for the same positions in the main report from 186 churches, representing 640 church campuses. Data is grouped by weekly campus attendance, operating budget, denomination, and geographic region.

2025 Church Benefits Report

The Church Compensation Services 2025 Church Benefits Report is the first annual report of church pastoral and staff benefits. This year’s report includes data from 170 churches representing 20,000 church employees, over one million in weekly church attendance and over $2.2 billion annual church operating budgets. Data is reported for all participants and broken down by size:

•All churches (>1,000 weekly attendance)

•Large churches (1,000 < 2, 000 weekly attendance)

•Mega churches (2,000 < 10,000 weekly attendance)

•Giga churches (> 10,000 weekly attendance)
